Designer proposes new $340M solar farm task for Albertas Industrial Heartland Back to video Alpin Sun is proposing the project, called Sol Aurora, that it declares will be the biggest sustainable energy development in Sturgeon County. If completed as prepared, the farms 480,000 solar panels will produce 386,000 megawatt-hours of electrical energy and balance out 205,000 tonnes of carbon each year. Power produced by Sol Aurora will feed into AltaLinks Heartland Substation situated next to the site of the proposed solar farm.
