KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 21– The work from home directive provided by Putrajaya yesterday only uses to those involved in the public and commercial sectors, Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob described today. He stated other sectors like the food, grocery shops and the security sector should continue to run as normal. As for the rest they can continue to run as normal under the brand-new norms,” stated Ismail today during his security briefing. The Public Service Agency put out a declaration earlier today specifying that only 30 per cent of their labor force will be allowed to work from the offices while the rest will work from home. The onus will be on the respective departments heads to choose who will work from home and who must come into office without interfering with public service too much.Ismail said Miti had likewise already released its statement today detailing which sectors are allowed to run and who cant, and he advised them to go to their official website for more details.Miti said it will just allow an optimum of 10 per cent of workers covering accounting, finance, administration, law, preparation and others to be in the workplace which will then be limited to only four hours from 10am to 2pm for 3 days a week. As I said other sectors like the security personnel like authorities and the army must continue to work as typical,” added Ismail. This material was initially published here.
